Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli PhD, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, has commended the state’s traditional rulers for visiting President Bola Tinubu to appreciate ongoing Federal Government road projects.

Alli, in a statement he personally signed on Thursday, described the royal delegation’s visit as a patriotic gesture reflecting unity, responsible leadership and commitment to Oyo State’s sustainable development.

The delegation also thanked the president for his efforts and rescue of abducted Oriire school pupils and teachers.

He particularly praised the delegation led by Oba Rashidi Ladoja, who doubles as the Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, for acknowledging President Tinubu’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure projects across Oyo State.

The APC candidate said the visit reaffirmed the vital role of traditional institutions in promoting peace, fostering development and strengthening cooperation between the state and Federal Government.

Alli also commended Olugbon of Orile-Igbon, Oba Francis Alao, Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola, Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola and Osi-Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, for demonstrating exemplary leadership and commitment to Oyo State’s progress.

He equally recognised Alajawa of Ajawa, Oba Adeyeye Oyetunji and Aare Ago of Ogbomoso, High Chief S. Otolorin, who represented the Soun of Ogbomoso, Onigbeti of Igbeti, Oba Abioye Basiru Olalekan, who represented Okere of Saki and Mogaji Wole Arisekola.

Alli thanked the president for prioritising Oyo State through strategic road projects, saying the interventions would boost economic activities, improve connectivity and enhance residents’ quality of life.

He urged residents to continue supporting the Tinubu administration, expressing confidence that more developmental projects would come to Oyo State through sustained collaboration and constructive engagement with the Federal Government.

The APC governorship candidate pledged that the people of Oyo State would reciprocate the President’s commitment by delivering overwhelming votes for his re-election, saying the state’s appreciation would be demonstrated at the ballot in 2027.

The President received the delegation alongside his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, Chairman of the Nigerian Revenue Service, Zach Adedeji, and presidential aide, Chief Sunday Dare.
