The Nigerian Senate at its Tuesday plenary has announced a minor reshuffle of its standing committees. According to the Senate, Oyo South Senator, Sharafadeen Alli has been relieved as Chairman Senate Committee on INEC.
Senator Alli now chairs, Senate Committee on Agricultural Institutions and Research while Senator Simon Lalong representing Plateau South replaced Senator Alli as the Chairman Senate Committee on INEC and Electoral Matters.

As part of the shake-up, Senator Anthony Ani (APC, Ebonyi South) will relinquish his role as Chairman of the Committee on Tourism, with Senator Pam Nwadkon (PDP, Plateau North) taking over the post.
