Oyo State governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Baàmèkó of Ibadanland, Oloye Saheed Oladele, has congratulated Chief Moses Adeyemo Alake on his emergence as the new Chairman of the Oyo State chapter of the APC.
Chief Moses Adeyemo Alake, a former Deputy Governor of Oyo State under the administration of late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, was elected at the party’s State Congress held on Tuesday at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium.
In a statement issued shortly after the congress, Oladele described Alake as a seasoned administrator, a strong voice within the party, and the rallying point the Oyo APC has long anticipated at this critical time in its political journey.
According to Oladele, the emergence of Alake signals a new dawn for the party in the state, expressing confidence that his wealth of experience in governance and party administration would reposition the APC for greater cohesion, strategic mobilisation, and electoral victories in the forthcoming elections.

He commended party delegates for conducting a peaceful and orderly congress, noting that the transparent process reflects the growing unity and maturity within Oyo APC. He added that the newly elected executive committee has a historic responsibility to rebuild trust, strengthen grassroots structures, and consolidate the party’s strength across all local government areas.
Oladele further pledged his unalloyed support for the new leadership, urging all party faithful to close ranks behind Chairman Alake and work collectively towards reclaiming power in Oyo State.
“The time for division is over; this is the time for consolidation and purposeful leadership,” Oladele stated, expressing optimism that under Alake’s chairmanship, the APC in Oyo State would regain its pride of place in the state’s political landscape.
The newly elected executive committee is expected to steer the affairs of the party in Oyo State for the next four years.
