The Association of Sacked Supervendors and Investors of Oyo State Pacesetter Transport Service (PTS) have expressed their sincere gratitude for the steps taking by the Oyo State House of Assembly (OYHA) for its timely intervention in addressing the illegal recruitment practices and questionable operations of the PTS in the State.
The sacked supervendors in the PTS while narrating its ordeal through a press statement signed by its Secretary, Comrade Ayoade Egbetokun said its appealed for better and profitable deals between members of the association and government representatives yield no positive results.
Comrade Egbetokun said that with the commencement of interstates operation, their condition remain the same.
“As supervendors, we entered into a working agreement with the management of PTS under the leadership of Dr. Ibrahim Dikko. The offer extended to us was a commission of only 2.5% on top-up sales, a percentage far too small to sustain our operational costs, including the salaries of our staff and other administrative expenses.
“To put this into perspective, for every ₦100,000 in sales, the super agent receives just ₦2,500 — an amount grossly inadequate to cover our manpower and overhead costs.
“Despite repeated appeals for a more reasonable commission rate, our requests were consistently denied. Instead, we were assured that our situation would improve with the commencement of interstate operations, which promised higher sales and, consequently, better returns.
“Unfortunately, this promise was never fulfilled, and the project quickly became a financial burden for vendors, making it nearly impossible to meet our obligations to staff.
“Furthermore, we have come across disturbing information suggesting that other companies, which reportedly provide no tangible services to PTS, receive significantly amount than those of us actively contributing to the system’s operations. This raises serious concerns about fairness and transparency in the management of vendor agreements.

“When the long-awaited interstate operations finally began, rather than improving our circumstances as promised, we found ourselves further marginalized. Dr. Dikko became increasingly inaccessible, shielded by his security personnel, making it impossible to address our grievances directly.
“Additionally, the consultancy firm representing our interests, O Triumph Multi Business Limited, was abruptly dismissed without any clear explanation.
“Just a few weeks into the interstate operations — a period when the system began generating considerable daily profits — we were unjustly laid off without any credible justification. It is evident to us that the decision to terminate the founding vendors of the card payment system was financially motivated, designed to cut costs and maximize profits at our expense”.
Egbetokun said sacked Association of Supervendors appealed to the Oyo State House of Assembly to extend its investigation into all its claims as far as the operation of PTS. The association seek fairness, accountability, and the restoration of our rights as stakeholders in this project.
