Oyo State Government through the Private Veterinary Services Regulatory Committee has sealed off Jubaili Animal Health Limited and nine other unregulated veterinary service, operating in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
The sealed facilities included multinationals and local private outlets.
Prominent among the sealed facilities by the Oyo State Private Veterinary Services Regulatory Committee, were the multinationals Agrited located at Oluyole area of the state capital and Tosam Integrated Services, Podo.

Others are the Pet Shop, Aleshinloye, King’s Dog Gallery and Pet shop Iyaganku, while some operating without formal identity were either sealed or had their products seized.
Leading the team on behalf of the State Commissioner for Agriculture, Barr. Olasunkanmi Olaleye and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry who Chairs the committee, Mrs Esther Owoeye, the Deputy Director, Veterinary Services Department, State Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Olakunle Olaoye said the owners of the various defaulting facilities have earlier been notified for necessary compliance.
He stated that the facilities sealed were operating either without putting necessary atmosphere for the sale of veterinary drugs and medicaments in place or without having required license and personnel.

The Oyo State Private Veterinary Services Regulatory Committee comprised representatives of various bodies including the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association, Association of Private Veterinary Medical Association Practitioners, National Association of Animal Husbandry and Health Technologist, as well as Ministry of Agriculture.
