Former Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission(NCC), Professor Adeolu Akande, has called on Nigerians to give peace a chance and abort the planned protests scheduled for August 1 to 10th this year.
In a statement personally signed by him and released in Abuja, Professor Akande said the country would gain nothing in the destruction of property that would characterize a protest and worsen the economic situation in the country.
Professor Akande noted that the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has proved to be a listening government with the many actions it has taken to address the economic situation in the country and matters affecting the youth.
