Oyo State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Barr Seun Ashamu has assured all and sundry that governor Seyi Makinde led government will continue to initiate policies aimed at attracting investors to the pace setter state.

Ashamu made this known when he visited GasInvest Ltd to inspect multimillion naira facility at the site of the company located in Ilero, Kajola local government area.

The commissioner said the facility at the site when fully operational, will provide safe and accessible LPG (cooking gas) to a target 20,000 homes in the Oke Ogun zone of Oyo State.

Barr Ashamu stressed that the integrated operations have the capacity to refill 500 bottles with LPG each hour and is a strategic component of the Oyo State Gas Master plan and Policy which provides for long term sustainable, affordable and reliable energy supply to Oyo State.
“As a transition fuel, gas is a key component of our net zero carbon targets; and, we will continue to ease the doing of business for green and renewable investments aligned with the State’s sustainable development agenda.”
