The Chairman, Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr Nureni Adeniran on Thursday, July 4th, gave update about the ongoing recruitment exercise of the agency which kicked off exactly a week ago.

While featuring on Situation Room, a socio-political programme on Fresh FM anchored by Mr Isaac Mayor, Dr Adeniran said over 35,000 applicants have completed online registration for the primary school teachers recruitment in the State.

The chairman said the job portal has received application from almost 55,000 out of which only 35,000 managed to complete registration.

While reacting to the minimum requirements for the application, Dr. Adeniran said NCE remains the least qualifications to teach in primary schools in Oyo State. He assured everyone that no age limit is set for the recruitment exercise urging people to apply irrespective of their age once they have requirements to teach.

“Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certificate is not a requirement to get the SUBEB job. We have not announced CBT yet, this will be done once the portal is closed for application next week”.

CBT date will be sent to email address and phone number applicants used during registration. Once we are done with it, the next thing is to determine the cut off mark and schedule those meet the cut off mark for interview”.

He reiterated that non-indigenes can also apply, he urged to to indicate their states of origin and LGAs.

He cautioned job seekers not apply for TESCOM jobs once they applied for SUBEB own.

“If you applied for last SUBEB recruitment, you need to reapply, there is no age limit, the retirement age is 60”.
