“I know some people, especially members of the opposition, are jittery about our rally. I don’t know why they are surprised that our rally attracted such crowd. Oyo, especially since the last election, has been a progressive enclave. We almost recorded 100 per cent in all elections held here. The only election PDP can win in Oyo is maybe one conducted by the state. And you know what I mean.

“Nobody should link us with violence. Our event was successfully done with no case of violence. Security agencies were there from the beginning to the event.

“We will never fight ourselves as we don’t see politics as do or die. We have always seen ourselves as brothers in Oyo. No matter the difference in political affiliation, we have always seen ourselves as partners in progress. So, someone shouldn’t incite our people against one another, ” Skimeh as the former council chairman is known added.
