A chieftain from Ibadan, and Mogaji Akinsola of Opoo Labiran Compound, Chief Wale Ladoja has described the gubernatorial ambition of Chief Adebayo Adelabu as vague, and the one that lacks governorship substance based on his antecedents.
Mogaji Ladoja made the remarks while speaking on BOSENLO, a socio-political program on Lagelu FM in Ibadan on Saturday, April 19.
Adelabu, current Minister of Power, contested for governor of Oyo State in 2019 under the All Progressives Congress, APC and in 2023 under the Accord Party, he lost to Governor Seyi Makinde in the two elective years.

Adelabu, who has amplified his decision to contest the 2027 governorship election in Oyo through his body language and political movement within and outside Oyo state.
Mogaji Ladoja while puncturing Adelabu’s guber ambition acknowledged that APC in Oyo State have some notable party men they can present like Senator Sharafadeen Alli and Senator Teslim Folarin come 2027.
“Adelabu is stingy, I have met him and interacted with him. You can’t take a bottle of beer in his presence, he will not pay. Anyone that wants to become governor of Oyo State must have philanthropic track records like Chief Dotun Sanusi and others that are doing well”.
“Adelabu’s gubernatorial ambition is not ripe, it would have been better if he had facilitated employment for over 500 Oyo indigenes as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to boost his gubernatorial ambition. APC is not a united party in Oyo State “.
