Work has completed in one out of the four approved communities to benefit from state funded solar hybrid mini-grid projects.
It was a wild jubilation for good people of Otefon, Atiba Local Government Area, Oyo State who have been darkness for years upon receiving the news of completion of solar hybrid mini-grid that will illuminate their community after commissioning.
FreshPage recalls that Oyo State Government under the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde approved the development of four state-funded mini grids in; Ajis, Ona-Ara Local Government Area, Samo, Iwajowa Local Government Area, Otefon, Atiba Local Government Area and Orisunbare, Ogbomoso South Local Government Area.
The Commissioner for Energy, Mineral Resources, Barrister Seun Ashamu supervised the project. According to Hon. Ashamu during one of his visits to the sites, he said the facilities will serve healthcare centres, schools and residents and host community of where they are built.
