A chieftain and gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo State, Ololade Usman Bakare has condemned abduction of teachers and students in Ahoro-Esinele community, Orire LGA of the state.
Bakare urged security agencies to step their rescue mission to bring teachers and students alive from captivity. Bakare described the abduction of the teachers and students as a barbaric act, unacceptable and intolerable.
He appealed to the families of the victims to host community to remain calm.
Below is the full statement;
I condemn in the strongest possible terms the heinous and cowardly attack that led to the abduction of innocent students and teachers in Oyo State. This barbaric act is unacceptable, intolerable, and a direct indictment of the worsening insecurity that has been allowed to fester in our state.

My heart goes out to the families of the victims and the entire affected community. The pain you are going through is unimaginable, and I share in your anger, your fear, and your demand for immediate action. The people of Oyo State deserve protection, not excuses.
Let me be clear: the targeting of our schools is a disgrace and a betrayal of our collective responsibility to safeguard the future of our children. Oyo State, with its proud history as a centre of learning and civilisation, must not be reduced to a place where students are hunted and educators are terrorized.
This is not just a tragic incident, it is a failure of leadership and a failure of will.
As a governorship aspirant, I refuse to accept this as the new normal. I am determined to confront this crisis with decisive, bold, and uncompromising action. We cannot continue with half-measures while our people live in fear.
Let those responsible for this atrocity know this: there will be no hiding place. Justice will be pursued relentlessly, and the era of impunity will come to an end.
I call on all security agencies to act swiftly and decisively to secure the safe release of the abducted students and teachers. Every moment matters, and anything less than urgent action is unacceptable.
To the people of Oyo State, this is a defining moment. We must reject fear, reject complacency, and demand the safety and security that is our fundamental right.
Oyo State must be safe again, and with resolute leadership under my administration, it will be.
