The Allied Peoples’ Movement (APM) on Thursday successfully conducted its consensus primary elections for aspirants contesting for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senatorial seats at the party’s Watershed event in Ibadan.

The exercise witnessed massive participation from party delegates, leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across Oyo State, further demonstrating the growing strength, unity, and acceptance of the party ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The atmosphere at the Watershed venue was filled with excitement, solidarity, and renewed hope as party faithful gathered to witness the peaceful and well-coordinated emergence of consensus candidates who will represent the party in the next elections.
Party leaders, while addressing members during the exercise, commended the maturity, cooperation, and unity displayed by stakeholders and aspirants, noting that the consensus arrangement was reached in the overall interest of the party and its collective vision for progress and victory.
They emphasized that the successful conduct of the primaries reflects APM’s strong commitment éto internal democracy, peace, fairness, and inclusiveness, describing the process as a major step towards building a stronger political structure across the state.

The primary election also served as an avenue for party members to reaffirm their loyalty and commitment to the ideals and vision of the Allied Peoples’ Movement, while calling on supporters across the state to remain united and mobilized towards ensuring victory for the party at the polls.
Observers at the event described the exercise as peaceful, credible, and highly organized, noting that the successful consensus process further confirms that APM is fully prepared and united for the political contests ahead.
