Amb. (Dr) Gbenga Clement Obilade, founder of the non-profit organisation Gbenga Obilade’s Foundation has joined sons and daughters of Ibadan land, countless well-wishers across the nation to celebrate a distinguished technocrat, and statesman — the Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.
Amb. (Dr) Obilade said September 28 is not just a commemoration of former Deputy governor of apex bank; Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), but a celebration of his remarkable journey of service, excellence, and commitment to national development.
Obilade extolled meritorious service of Chief Adelabu while in CBN, he stressed that his outstanding contributions to financial systems paved ways for his growth and acceptability among his peers to serve as Minister of Power.
Obilade who is Bobagunwa of Akinjole in Egbeda LGA remarked that Chief Adelabu’s life embodies the values of integrity, discipline, and patriotism through his sterling contributions in the banking and financial sector, where he championed reforms with others that strengthened Nigeria’s monetary policy.
He stressed that Adelabu’s visionary leadership in driving energy transformation and sustainable growth in the energy sector through his consistent demonstration of capacity, competence, and uncommon dedication.
