The hope of many private schools to reopen for students in terminal classes might not materialized as Oyo State Government through Ministry of Education affirmed that only approved private schools with certificate of attendance at the training on COVID-19 protocols are allowed to open.

This was contained in a newly released circular by Oyo State Ministry of Education detailing conditions that must be fulfilled regarding resumption of students in Pry 6, J S III and S S III.

The fresh memo came 4 days after the government had directed all teachers in the state to resume into their various schools.

The Ministry of Education further stressed that each class should have a class warder who responsibility would be to ensures trick compliance to COVID-19 protocols while school principals or head teachers are to ensure that students are exposed to sunlight between 11:00am to 11:30am as advised by health experts.

In the circular, visitors are not allowed in school premises as use of school facilities for social engagement is suspended till further notice.

Food vendors are not allowed in the school premises so also no student or pupil should be allowed in school without face mask and closing time for all grades of schools is 1:00pm , till further notice.
