The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has confirmed that the the examination body will release results for all candidates that participated in this year’s Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) 45 days after the   last paper was written.

This year’s Senior secondary Certificate Examination started August 17, 2020 and ended Saturday September 12, 2020. This connotes that the Council might release the results latest October 27.

According to report fronm the Head of Public Affairs, West African Examination Council, Nigeria. Mr Demianus Ojijeogu, he said before the pandemic outbreak the body used to release the results within 45 days after the last paper. He added that the body is working to achieve same.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the exam was shifted from April to August. The academic calendar was affected both in higher institution and secondary level.

The exam results need to be out so that candidates that participated in Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) seeking admission into higher institution can make use of the results.
