Barely one month after the suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked palace of Asigangan and killed several other people in Igangan, the commander of Amotekun in Ibarapa North local government on Friday has reportedly been killed in Igangan area of the council.

Sources who confirmed the incident said the sad event occurred when unknown gunmen invaded the town on Friday evening, shooting for over 30 minutes.
Though the identities of the gunmen is yet to be known as at press time, some residents said they allegedly wore customs uniforms.
The assailants were said to have been initially repelled by local hunters.

“Report reaching me now reveals that around 8:00pm people suspected to be Fulani herdsmen again invaded Igangan and shooting for over 30minutes. Some said they were Custom men as they wore Custom uniform but they were chased by local hunters but have killed some people.

“They also passed Igboora and continue shooting and it was reported people have died in Igboora too including one Amotekun operatives.

“Further reports later as nobody knows what is going on in the major streets
“It was reported that the Commander of Amotekun in Ibarapa Central has been killed picture attached,” a community leader sent this to OyoInsight.
