Abdulsalam, a young boy was caught at popular Olomi Garage in Ibadan while making attempt to steal money from Keke Napep. The Keke Napep drivers in the axis felt bad and think about what could have prompted a young boy like Abdulsalam to make such attempt while children in his age bracket were in school.

The tricycle association in the axis decided to reach out to Agidigbo FM to investigate what prompted the young boy.

According to the founder of the radio, Mr. Oriyomi Hamzat while speaking during live broadcast on Thursday via the station’s social media platform said his team found out that the teenager was not a thief but was prompted by hunger. Agidigbo FM team found out that the guardian the young boy stay with was very sick and the young boy lives on N50 for feeding.

The seasoned journalist with humanitarian face said upon investigation conducted by the Agidigbo FM, the Park Management System, PMS which is the umbrella body all transporters in the state developed interest in the young boy and decided to send him to school.

Mr. Hamzat disclosed further during the live broadcast that Park Management System at the state level has awarded scholarship to the young boy starting from 2021/2022 academic session which will commence by September, 2021.

Mr. Hamzat said that the PMS also pledged to be giving the young boy a sum of five thousand naira (N5,000) on weekly basis for upkeep in school. Before the young boy left the premises of Agidigbo FM, the money for the payment of first term school fees was handed over to him.

The veteran journalist appreciated the good gesture from PMS leadership and urged them to continue on the path of touching lives in the state.
