Oyo State House of Assembly (OYHA) led by Rt Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin at its plenary today announced suspension of Irepo Local Government, Hon. Sulaimon Lateef Adeniran popularly called Santana.
The House directed the Vice Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Joel to take over the administration in the council pending the outcome of the allegations of anti-party levelled against the Chairman.
FRESHPAGE recalls that Santana was alleged for anti-party activities which made the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lost in the LG at the 2023 gubernatorial elections.

Meanwhile, Barr Bayo Lawal, Deputy Governor of Oyo State hails from Irepo Local Government. The action of Hon. Santana sprang protest among youths in the local government after the gubernatorial elections demanding the resignation of the Chairman.
