The passing of a mother is a painful and emotional experience that words can hardly capture. Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo hosted colourful burial ceremony of Alhaja Mariat Iyabo Alaro Azeez, mother of Ola Alaro Azeez fondly call lastborn.
The burial ceremony held at the Watershed Event Centre, Old-Ife road, Ibadan, was a grand and dignified event, attended by the crème de la crème of society from all walk of life. Family, friends, associates and well-wishers gathered to pay their last respects and honour the memory of the departed.
Alhaja Mariat Iyabo Azeez Alaro was not only backbone of Alaro’s family, but also a woman of deep faith, humility, peace and kindness. She lived a life of sacrifice, love and service. AlhajaAlaro, during her lifetime places the wellbeing of others above her own comfort. Her counsel, prayers and support shaped lives of countless individuals around her.
Ola Alaro Azeez, was deeply appreciative of his extended family members, relatives and loved ones who stood with him from the moment of Alhaja Mariat Azeez Alaro’s passing until the grand finale of burial ceremony.
All guests were treated like kings and queens in the serene atmosphere that match status of everyone. Adding colour and cultural flavour to the event was the energetic performance of popular Fuji Musician, Alhaji Sulaimon Alao Mailaka Qibla Fuji, whose songs resonated with the high class audience and created an atmosphere of unity and reflection. Alhaji Sulaimon Alao Malaika’s music carried message of respect prayers and remembrance, reminding everyone that even in grief, there is room to celebrate the beauty of meaningful life.
Ola Alaro Azeez specifically appreciated the presence of his political leader and current Chairman, Oyo State Housing Corporation, Hon. Ademola Omotosho. He appreciated the presence of Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Hon. Adeniyi Adeyinka Bibire, Ibadan North Federal Representative, Hon. Folajinmi Oyekunle DON, Hon. Soji Alade, Chairman North Local Government Area, Hon. Seun Olufade and Hon. Waheed Akintayo Ilumoka, Oyo House of Assembly member representing Oluyole LGA.
