The Oyo State Government has reaffirmed the state’s commitment to enhancing trade routes and regional connectivity, aiming to make the State a hub for investment and trade.
The State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde gave the assurance during the State International Trade Fair EXPOYO 2025 exhibition event held at the EXPOYO exhibition ground, Samonda Ibadan.
Governor Makinde, who was represented by his Deputy, Barrister Bayo-Lawal, emphasized that trade fair is not just a platform for international businesses, but also a unique opportunity for local entrepreneurs to gain exposure, build networks and access the global market.
The Governor who expressed readiness to combat all forms of insecurity to protect Agriculture investors and farmers in the state, reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to continue creating the right environment for businesses to grow and make a lasting impact on the State, the Country, and the World at large.

In his address the State Commissioner, for Investment, Trade, Cooperatives and Industry, Adeniyi Adebisi, noted that the pathway to economic success lies in the collective ability to prioritize agriculture, attract investments and develop a robust agro-industrial sector that will not only ensure food security but also enhance the global competitiveness of agricultural products.
Delivering their goodwill messages, the President, Oyo State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OYCCIMA), Dr. Daniel Gbadero, the President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, (NACCIMA) Otunba Dele Oye and the Executive Director Nigeria Stored Products Research Institute, Ilorin, Prof. Lateef Sanni, represented, Dr Mariam Aremu Identified rural insecurity, poor infrastructure and full application of value addition principles as major problems facing food and economic stability through agribusiness.
