A former Vice-chairman of Aare Latosa Local Council, and a foundation member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Monsuru Akintunde Adeyemo ‘Socrates’ has penned his tribute for late federal lawmaker who represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban and state party chairman, Chief Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu who departed this world few days ago.
Hon. Adeyemo while commiserating their families, friends, party, associates and key stakeholders offered himself to fill the gap created by the demise of Prince Olaide Akinremi Jagaban in Ibadan North Federal Constituency.
The former students’ union leader calls for unity within the APC in Oyo State and promised to harness his experience and expertise to drive transformative change, foster inclusive development, and ensure that the voices of the constituents are heard loud and clear at the federal level.
“First and foremost, once again, I extend my deepest condolences on the passing of our esteemed Federal Representative, Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi, popularly known as Jagaban and valued Oyo APC Chairman, Barr. Isaac Omodewu. May Allah, in His infinite mercy, grant them eternal rest in Al-Janat Firdaus and provide us all with the strength to bear these sad occurrences.
“Respectively, it has been over 41 days, and also 8 Days since our beloved sons, brothers, husbands, fathers, colleagues, allies, patrons, and leaders, Prince Akinremi and Barr Omodewu, departed this world. During this period of mourning and reflection, I have devoted myself to offering prayers for our late federal lawmaker and party Chairman, their families, our party, our leaders, Ibadan North, Oyo APC, Oyo State, Nigeria, and indeed myself and all of us.
“This period has also allowed me to deeply study historical patterns and closely observe the current trends within our Federal Constituency and in Oyo APC.
“In Ibadan North Federal Constituency, indeed, I recognize and respect the formidable aspirants who have already declared their ambitions to serve. Our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), is blessed with a wealth of talent and dedication.
However, as a foundation member and a loyal stalwart of our party, I humbly offer myself as a bridge builder to fill the gap left by our late representativeS.
“My commitment to the APC and its progressive ideals has been unwavering, and I stand ready to continue the legacy of service and leadership that has defined our federal constituency.

“Throughout my journey with our great party, APC, I have maintained cordial relationship with many of our present and past leaders at the local, state, national, and international levels. My connection with our party members remains strong, and with all senses of modesty, I have consistently dedicated my energy, time, talent, and resources to keeping the flame of progressivism alive in Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State and across the country.
“As my Afrocentric alias “Ă€DĂŚMĂšLĂ€” (Liberator) suggests, I have fought for many pro-people causes and have been instrumental in talent hunting, capacity building, and human capital development. To the glory of God and in service to humanity, as a born empath and pro-people thinker, I have been able to be a people’s partner in progress and help numerous individuals secure employment at both state and federal levels, including in public/civil service and military formations, and also in other fields of endeavours, both locally and globally.
“As we reflect on the five years of impactful representation that Prince Akinremi provided in the Green Chambers before his demise, I promise to consolidate and build upon these gains. My loyalty to the APC and my dedication to our party’s growth and development have been demonstrated through my active involvement in party activities at all levels—Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Oyo State, and beyond.
