How I wish you could read this from me again. Alas some other people would? Hmmm!
How I will miss our lengthy conversation and discussions about our shared vision and passion for a truly Pace Setting Oyo State indeed, the reason we both journeyed so far in the murky waters of politics. You’ve done your bits, leaving the rest of us with the struggle, I wonder if it worths all the stress after all?
Of course whoever has the benefit of scrolling through our chats may have the opportunity to read our minds exchanged in words, if you had the habit of keeping posts and messages.
You were such a great man with a beautiful soul, a benevolent Leader, trusted ally and committed to true friendship with honour and integrity.
It is hard for anyone to speak ill of you even in your fallibility as human, you’re no doubt an epitome of a good natured man, a consummate Omoluabi, a passionate lover of peace and your quiet mien, charming disarming smiles even in the face of the worst intimidation and confrontation were your strengths which distinguished you, towering above many of your peers in leadership.
In life, AJIBOYE OMODEWU, you were celebrated, now in death you’re most admired and more appreciated, yours is not “Ijo Iku la ndere…., as Yorubas would imply in the eulogies to the dead ones, Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu sunwon laaye!.
Adumaadan, Okunrin tandi tandi rogbodo rogbodo, I was hopeful looking forward to your return back in Nigeria when we spoke the last time in June, the 14th of June precisely, yes I noticed the strained voice, your request for prayers trusting God for perfect healing, very briefly unlike those earlier lengthy talks never about yourself but all the time about peaceful resolutions of our Party challenges which you chaired to the admiration of all.

You came!, you saw!! and you conquered!!!. You lived well, you fought hard and even in death, you won! Yes you did for those who can fathom it!. You have only gone to rest as no doubt there is still life after death! Your soul the real AJIBOYE OMODEWU lives on!
I know your ideals, your commitment to Peace, Love and sincerity of purpose, you hated and feared chaos and behind that gentle mien was a strong and bold lion hearted person only known to those very close to you!
Above all you held your head high, a loyal and committed friend, trustworthy and reliable, never perturbed or stressed about anything.
I will miss you, our gists and aspirations and someday that which you truly and wholly desired, the Great Oyo State that is enviable to all within the Nigerian polity will be realized God willing.
