The Aṣojú Àṣẹ Àwọn Ẹni Òrìṣà Ifẹ Ooye and Yeyeluwa Odo Yoruba, Erelu Túnwàṣẹ, has congratulated Mogaji Rahmon Akintunde Alawode (Olori Odo Yoruba) on his installation as the Mogaji of Ifatayo-Alawode Compound, Aremo, Ode Aje, Ibadan, and his subsequent induction into the Association of Mogajis of Ibadanland.
In a congratulatory statement dated July 5, 2026, Erelu Túnwàṣẹ described the development as a fitting recognition of Alawode’s years of dedication to community service, leadership, and the preservation of Yoruba cultural values.
She recalled that she had known the newly installed Mogaji since 2019 and had witnessed his journey through perseverance, resilience, and steady leadership.
According to her, the Mogaji institution remains one of Ibadanland’s greatest traditional legacies, providing a strong foundation for family leadership, community development, and the preservation of the city’s unique traditional governance structure.
She noted that the office of Mogaji is a sacred trust that demands wisdom, humility, fairness, integrity, and selfless service to one’s family, ancestors, and the people of Ibadanland.
Expressing confidence in Mogaji Alawode’s capacity to uphold the values of the revered institution, she prayed for divine wisdom, strength, favour, and a successful tenure.
“May Olódùmarè grant you wisdom beyond your years, strength for every responsibility, and favour in all your endeavours. May your ancestors continue to guide your footsteps, your tenure bring honour to the Ifatayo-Alawode Compound, and your service enrich the cultural heritage and future of Ibadanland,” she said.
Erelu Túnwàṣẹ wished Mogaji Rahmon Akintunde Alawode a long, impactful, and prosperous reign, expressing confidence that his leadership would leave a lasting legacy in Ibadanland.
