The newly inaugurated Chairman of Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Prof. Femi Akinwumi has advised contractors handling various projects for the Ekiti (SUBEB) to deliver quality service for the Board.
He identified prompt payment for contracts and quality service delivery as the path through unprecedented infrastructural development can take place in the state education industry.
Prof. Akinwumi disclosed this at a familiarisation meeting with board while also speaking with the contractors handling key projects for the SUBEB.
He reiterated the commitment of present administration led by Governor Kayode Fayemi with genuine interest in education and investment in human capital.
Prof. Akinwunmi used the occasion to thank Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and his amiable wife, Erelu Bisi Fayemi for deeming it fit to give him the opportunity to serve Ekiti State.
Earlier, the Commissioner, Project Management, SUBEB, Dr. Kayode Adeoye being an old member of the board introduced the new Chairman of the Board and the new Permanent Secretary with a brief details of the workings in the commission.
Also present at the meeting is Dr. (Mrs.) Funke Fajobi, Commissioner for Human Resources Management, SUBEB. .
The new Permanent Secretary, Mr. Oludare Ajayi advised the contractors to work based on specification and assured them of cooperation of the Board in terms of prompt payments and other necessaries supports.
The Board and the contractors resolved to work together at achieving values and the common good goals for the benefit of Ekiti state.
