Crisis in Oyo APC, Party Disqualifies Faozey, Repete, 5 Other Senatorial Aspirants, Clears Five for Primaries

Ahead of the primaries for all senatorial aspirants in Oyo State, the party has disqualified seven aspirants and cleared five.

The list of disqualified Senatorial aspirants was released hours to the conduct of the primaries scheduled to hold on Sunday.

The coast is now clear for the duo of Senator Yunus Akintunde to clinch the party’s ticket for Oyo Central Senatorial District and Engr Remi Oseni for Oyo South Senatorial District while three Senatorial aspirants; Gbenga Adegbola, Adeolu Akande and Hannah Ogunesan will slug it out for Oyo North Senatorial District.

The disqualified aspirants by the Screening Committee were; Hameed Afeez Repete, Faozey Oladotun Nurudeen and Wasiu Alli for Oyo Central, Kola, Hussaini Yusuf, Oyo North, Ajimobi Wasiu Oyo North, Amb. Pastor Akinremi Bolaji, Oyo South.
