The Supreme Court on Tuesday, 28th September 2026, has DISMISSED an appeal filed by the Oloja of Agọ Ọja, one Ganiyu Ajiboye Busari against a Court of Appeal (Ibadan Division) judgment which barred him from parading himself as Oloja which is a non-existent title in Oyo.
In a ruling delivered by Hon Justice Mohammed Lawal Garba JSC, the Supreme Court dismissed, in limine, the appeal filed by Oloja.

With this development, the purported coronation of Oloja and by extension, all Ọba Alade Paali by the Seyi Makinde-led administration is now a nullity.
The OLOJA and any Alade Paali who parades himself/ themselves as Obas may be liable for the offence of criminal contempt which is punishable with six months imprisonment.
