A former chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Rasheed Adebisi Olopoeyan has reacted to his house attack shortly after he announced his defection to New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Olopoeyan said the Chairman, Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System, Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi popularly called Auxillary was in Agodi prison when he worked rigorously for the emergence of Governor Seyi Makinde in 2019.
He made the remark in an exclusive video released by BBC News Yoruba.
Olopoeyan said he received the news of his house attack with great shock while addressing press about his defection to NNPP.
He alleged that the dastardly act was carried out by PMS boys under Auxillary as its Chairman of Disciplinary Committee.
He called on the police to investigate one of the boys arrested with PMS identity card at his residence. He stressed that Auxiliary has become another person perpetrating crimes without a recourse in Oyo State.
“PDP is a party of thugs, touts in Oyo State. We can’t do without them. That is why we decided to join NNPP. They are still after our lives”. Olopoeyan added.
The Public Relations Officer, PMS, Mr. Wasiu Adebayo while speaking with BBC News Yoruba said PMS members were not responsible for Olopoeyan’s house attack.
