The Allied People’s Movement (APM) candidate for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency, Hon. Toheeb Adegoke ADLAT, has expressed dissatisfaction with the impact of federal representation in the constituency, declaring that the people are yet to feel the benefits of having a representative at the National Assembly.

Hon. Adegoke made this assertion while featuring on Amuludun FM 99.1, where he questioned the legislative performance of the incumbent Federal Representative.
According to him, the incumbent has no single bill credited to him in the last three years since assuming office, a situation he believes calls for serious reflection on the quality of representation being offered to the people.
The APM candidate maintained that effective representation goes beyond occupying a seat at the National Assembly. He argued that a good representative must be able to stand tall on the floor of the House, confidently articulate the challenges of the people and champion legislative interventions capable of addressing the needs and aspirations of the constituency.
He further stressed that every constituency deserves good roads, infrastructural development, human capital development, access to quality education and healthcare, as well as meaningful empowerment opportunities for women and youths. According to him, these developmental expectations can be advanced through quality bills, motions, legislative advocacy and other productive engagements at the National Assembly.
Adlat emphasised that the people of Akinyele and Lagelu deserve a representative whose presence is felt through purposeful legislation, effective advocacy and tangible contributions to community development, rather than mere occupancy of political office.
He consequently assured the electorate that his emergence as their representative would mark a new chapter in the political and developmental journey of the constituency. He promised to bring a different approach to representation by prioritising the people’s interests, amplifying their concerns and pursuing legislative interventions that would translate into meaningful development.
To reinforce his confidence, the APM candidate also referenced his previous engagements, accomplishments and exposure, noting that his experiences have equipped him with the capacity, understanding and vision required to provide effective representation.
He concluded by assuring the people of his commitment to giving Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency a stronger and more effective voice at the National Assembly, promising representation that would be visible, accountable and measured by its impact on the lives of the people.
