In every election cycle, political promises dominate the conversation. Yet, beyond the speeches and campaign slogans, the people of Oyo Federal Constituency continue to ask a simple question: Who truly understands our needs and possesses the capacity to address them? The answer lies not only in political ambition but in experience, preparation, and a genuine commitment to public service.

Hon. Seun Ashamu

Barrister Nurudeen Temilolu Ashamu believes that effective representation begins with listening. Rather than relying on assumptions, he has spent years engaging with people across Oyo Federal Constituency, youths searching for opportunities, women striving to grow their businesses, farmers seeking better support, traders hoping for improved infrastructure, students aspiring to quality education, and community leaders advocating for sustainable development. These interactions have shaped his understanding of the constituency’s most pressing needs and reinforced his conviction that the people deserve representation that delivers measurable results.

Drawing from nearly six years of experience in public service, alongside valuable exposure in the private sector, Ashamu believes he has acquired the practical knowledge required to bridge the gap between government policies and the everyday realities of the people. His experience has provided insight into how institutions function, how opportunities can be attracted, and how partnerships can be built to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.

At the heart of his vision is youth development. Recognising that young people are the greatest asset of any society, Ashamu advocates policies that will equip them with relevant skills, encourage innovation, promote entrepreneurship, and facilitate access to employment opportunities. His vision is one where young people are empowered not only to seek jobs but also to create jobs, becoming drivers of economic growth and community development.

Human capital development also occupies a central place in his agenda. He believes that sustainable development is impossible without investing in people. According to him, every citizen deserves access to training, mentorship, scholarships, and leadership opportunities that enhance productivity and unlock potential. A constituency that invests in its people lays the foundation for lasting prosperity.

Women empowerment is another pillar of his vision. Across Oyo Federal Constituency, countless women contribute significantly to household incomes and local economic activities despite facing financial and structural challenges. Ashamu believes that empowering women through access to grants, vocational training, business support, and economic inclusion will not only strengthen families but also stimulate wider economic growth throughout the constituency.

Education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming society, and Ashamu sees quality education as a right rather than a privilege. His legislative focus includes supporting bills and initiatives that improve educational standards, expand scholarship opportunities, strengthen public schools, and ensure that children and young people are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to compete in a rapidly changing world.

He also identifies job facilitation as a priority. While government cannot employ everyone directly, effective representation can create pathways to employment by connecting qualified individuals with opportunities in the public and private sectors, facilitating federal programmes, and encouraging investments capable of creating sustainable jobs.

Infrastructure development is equally vital to his vision for Oyo Federal Constituency. Good roads, reliable electricity, clean water, and functional public facilities are essential for economic growth and improved living standards. Ashamu believes that attracting and advocating for these projects will enhance commerce, improve mobility, and create a more conducive environment for businesses and families alike.

Healthcare, too, remains an indispensable aspect of his development agenda. Every resident deserves access to affordable and quality healthcare regardless of location or social status. Strengthening primary healthcare centres, improving maternal and child healthcare services, expanding health awareness, and supporting policies that increase access to essential medical care are among the objectives he hopes to pursue.

Underlying this vision is a philosophy of inclusive leadership. Ashamu believes that representation should extend beyond legislative debates to tangible action that improves lives. His campaign slogan, “Alubarika for You, Me and All,” reflects a commitment to ensuring that the dividends of democracy are shared across every community, regardless of age, gender, occupation, or political affiliation.

For Barrister Nurudeen Temilolu Ashamu, the journey is not merely about winning an election; it is about building a constituency where opportunity is expanded, people are empowered, and development reaches every corner of Oyo Federal Constituency. His vision is one rooted in service, shaped by experience, and driven by the belief that when leadership puts people first, progress becomes a shared reality.

Alubarika for You, Me and All is therefore more than a campaign slogan, it is a promise of inclusive growth, purposeful leadership, and a future where every resident of Oyo Federal Constituency has the opportunity to succeed.
