Hon. Ganiat Omokunmi Olawore, former Special Assistant to the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi has joined the race for Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Hon. Olawore, a grassroot politician after wide and expansive consultation with leaders, political gladiators and stakeholders across two LGAs formally declared her intention to contest for one of the indigenous federal constituencies in Oyo State.
Hon. Olawore was the Special Assistant on Political Matters, Community Relations and Agriculture to late Governor Ajimobi, her public service was marked with dedication, loyalty and strong commitment to good governance. Hon. Olawore has been exposed to intricacies of leadership, policy-making and importance of people-centred representation.
Hon. Olawore served as the Coordinator for Market Women and Men in Oyo State for Tinubu Campaign Organisation (OTISHE) in the bid for 2023 general elections which earned Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu landslide victory in Oyo State.
Hon. Olawore is equally Oyo State Representative for APC Progressive Young Women Forum, where she brings her expertise to drive the growth of Women in line with the party’s ideology.

Hon. Olawore in her declaration message said, her motive for Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency is not driven by personal ambition but by a genuine desire to serve, amplify the voices of the constituents and facilitate meaningful development to the federal constituency. She noted that Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency deserves effective representation, by a credible, dignified entity and a person of moral values, that will address pressing challenges such as youth unemployment, women empowerment, education, healthcare and infrastructural development.

Hon. Olawore poached herself as a woman of courage, compassion and competence and ready to champion legislation that will uplift the federal constituency and create opportunities for sustainable growth.
Hon. Olawore was a Member of Protocol and Logistics for Tinubu Presidential Campaign Committee in 2023. She was the only APC female candidate in 2019 for Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan South East Local Government Constituency II.
She described her aspiration for Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency as a collective journey, seeking support and prayers of constituents as she embarked on the mission of building future that reflects shared dreams for everyone in the federal constituency.
