The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu today met with chieftains of the party from Oyo and Osun States in a closed door meeting.
Present at the meeting were Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola while lawmakers from Oyo State had the highest number of representatives at the meeting.
It would be recalled that the former Lagos State governor has been rumoured to be interested in becoming President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria come 2023.
It is also on record that the crisis rocking Oyo APC remains unsettled since the former governor of the state Senator Abiola Ajimobi died.
There have been a problem who becomes the leader of the party, many agreed that the former governor of the state who defected to the party in 2019, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala should be the leader while some opposed his leadership position in the party.
Present at the closed door meeting were Senator Fatai Buhari, representing Oyo North Senatorial District, Senator Teslim Folarin, representing Oyo Central Senatorial District.
