Chief Saheed Ajadi has called on Oloye Adebayo Adelabu to stop parading himself as gubernatorial candidate of the ACCORD Party ahead of 2023 general elections. Ajadi said he remains the authentic candidate of the party and cautioned former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Adelabu from portraying himself as ACCORD Party candidate.
FRESHPAGE reports that Adelabu came second at the Oyo APC gubernatorial primaries that produced Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin as the party’s standard bearer come 2023 gubernatorial election.
Chief Ajadi at the press conference held on Sunday in Ibadan said he has been in Accord Party, building the party since 2010.

“We have been building this party since 2010, and for over ten good years now have been working and nursing ambition of becoming a governor of this state with the hope to serve my people, and bring much needed development to our dear state, only for someone that was defeated in his party primaries to start parading himself as the governorship candidate of our party, at least I think he should show some level of decorum.”
“Accord Party is ours, Adelabu is not a bonafide member of our party, he can’t just dumped his party All Progressive Congress (APC) and start parading himself as Accord Party guber candidate, this shows level of his decorum.
“How can someone that lost primaries in his own party start parading himself as a guber candidate of another party, he is not part of our struggles, I’m not selling my candidature for a loser, Adelabu is loser, because he lost in his party, I can’t be intimidated by him and his antics.

“I’m in politics to contribute positively to the society and that is the reason why I remain in Accord Party since all these years, Accord Party is the third force that can rescue Nigeria from the fold of APC and PDP, all these parties have be in government and they have failed Nigerians, Accord Party is the credible alternative that Nigerians need, and I will become the governor of this state in 2023 by the grace of God.
“Accord Party has values and so does our leaders, so they cannot be intimidated by any amount of money someone is bringing on board, and also I’m not afraid nor threatened by Adelabu’s coming into Accord Party but he must do things with decorum. Ajadi added.
