In continuation of the consultation tour of Oloye Bayo Adelabu, the Accord Gubernatorial Candidate in Ibarapa zone has met with the Association of Traders and Artisans in Igboora along with Kolapo Kola-Daisi, the senatorial candidate for Oyo South, Hon. Segun Okanlawon, the House of Representatives candidate and Hon. Omiyale Olusola, the State House of Assembly candidate.
During the meeting the traders’ association members expressed the many problem confronting them, with little or no support from the incumbent state government. The many terrible roads, no access to government loans, poor modern agricultural equipment, lack of electricity in Igboora amongst other challenges. They vowed to support Adelabu and the entire Accord candidates in the forthcoming elections for the growth and development of Igboora.
There was also the meeting with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Igboora Chapter. Issues concerning the community and challenges bedeviling them were equally discussed. Bayo Adelabu assured them that his government will tolerate all religions and will make employment opportunities readily available for everyone. They prayed for him for success in the coming election.
Thereafter, there was a meeting with the League of Imams and Muslim leaders in Igboora. They prayed fervently for Bayo Adelabu, Kolapo Kola-Daisi, Okanlawon and Omiyale for success in the coming elections.
The Accord candidates again visited the Asawo of Ayete, Oba Emmanuel Okeniyi and the traditional council of rulers and elders for their prayers and support in the elections. Bayo Adelabu vowed that when he becomes the governor he will make the local governments autonomous and the kings will effortlessly get their dues right from the local government revenue instead of waiting on the governor to support security within their different communities. The kings also prayed for the electoral victory of all the candidates in the coming elections.
