Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor Salihu Adelabu has said the ongoing teachers’ recruitment process into Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) for primary school teachers and Post-Secondary School Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) for secondary school teachers will be based on merit and nothing more.
Prof. Salihu restated that the recruitment exercise in the State will be devoid of any form of bias and will conform with the United Nations adopted procedures.
Professor Salihu gave this assurance while featuring on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) TV Yoruba current affairs Programme, ‘Kutuhai’ which was monitored by FRESHPAGE.COM.NG.
Professor Salihu said that the current administration maintains zero tolerance for fraudulent practices in internal and external examinations.
while reacting on indiscipline among secondary school students, the Commissioner blamed the failure of parents at the home front and broken homes for the increasing acts of misconduct among students.
Professor Adelabu also revealed that Technical Colleges in the State will soon be revamped and remodelled to meet up with contemporary global standards.
