When I said that Governor Seyi Makinde’s political empire was crumbling and that, just like the Biblical Babylon, it was destined to fall, his attack dogs and lickspittles, as usual, rained insults and abuse on me.
I remember saying recently, in one of my write ups, that the Governor appears to be losing weight and I think I now know the reasons behind the Governor’s predicaments but, before going further on that, let’s talk about the much talked about Boye Nation/ JAF jamboree slated for the Adamasingba Sports Complex on the 21st of August, 2026.

From the information at my disposal, it is almost certain that the gentleman who is leaving the All Progressives Congress, APC, for Makinde’s Allied People’s Movement, APM, will have to fly with one wing on the day.
The other wing, Joseph Adeseye Famojuro, also known as JAF has flown out of the country. From available information at my disposal, JAF has flown to Houston in the United States of America on Friday night!
Why you asked? Things are falling apart.
It is alleged that the fellow is having a lot of issues with his properties abroad. You definitely will hear from me regarding this developing incidents in the coming days.
I must also alert the public that the resources used to mobilize for the jamboree of the 21st of August, 2026 are mainly sourced from the monthly allocation of the 33 Local Governments. So, the Boye Nation jamboree, a purely political activity, will be funded, mainly, by the 33 Local Governments.
It is alleged that each of the 33 Local Governments were made to contribute the sum of 20 million Naira each.
Returning House of Assembly Candidates allegedly contributed a hundred thousand Naira each while first timers allegedly contributed fifty thousand Naira each.
I do not have information about the specific amounts contributed by House of Representatives and Senatorial Candidates, but they were not left out.
So, when Olanrewaju was saying that they spent almost 700 million Naira on ” Advertisement and Publicity Awareness for the public” the other time, you should now understand what he meant.
They have bought Ankara from the illicit funds and handed over to the fellow, Boye to be distributing for attendees.
I was talking about Governor Seyi Makinde’s weight loss and I told you I now know the reasons behind it. Let me tell you a little about it for now.

It is no longer Uhuru for the Governor. It is alleged that a First generation Bank which had initially agreed to issue a 200bn bond for the Government of Oyo state later turned down the request.
It is also alleged that in the past three months, Oyo state Government has not been able to mobilize Contractors working on different sites.
Government is allegedly owing about 79bn meant for the settlement of outstanding loans to different Banks. The outstanding sum of 79bn allegedly covers the past three months.
It is further alleged that several Contractors have been abandoning sites and removing their equipment from sites.
I am not surprised at all. This development is seriously affecting governance. About a couple of months ago, it is alleged that the Oyo state Government got a whooping 34bn as statutory monthly allocations and the 33 Local Governments also got the same amount of 34bn, totalling 68bn in total minus Internally Generated Revenues, IGR.
Now, imagine if Governor Makinde had not run the state into debts. That amount would have done a lot to cater for the needs of the state, but Governor Seyi Makinde must service the series of debts he has accumulated.
I will come up with a more comprehensive and detailed facts in the coming days.
Before I forget, I was told and allegedly so, that Governor Seyi Makinde was actually honored with a Fellow of NSE in his office after he became Governor and that he was never active with NSE before and he is not COREN certified which is higher than NSE.
I hope the person who told me is wrong.
Sola Abegunde.
