The Oyo Federal Constituency House of Representatives candidate under Allied People’s Movement (APM), for the 2027 general elections, Barr. Seun Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu on Saturday celebrated his birthday with loyalists, friends, political associates, and supporters in Oyo, in a gathering marked by appreciation, goodwill messages, and renewed political discussions ahead of the general elections.
The meeting was coordinated by Hon. Adekola Nurudeen, Secretary of Oyo East Local Government and Coordinator of TeamSMS.

The event drew several supporters, beneficiaries, and political associates, many of whom took turns to share testimonies on how Ashamu’s mentorship, support, and leadership have positively impacted their lives over the years.
Speaking at the gathering, Ashamu expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love shown to him through calls, messages, prayers, and goodwill wishes on the occasion of his birthday.

He described the various remarks made about his personality as insightful, noting that life is often shaped by individual perspectives.
“It is very interesting listening to everyone speak about my personality because life is all about perspective. I am glad to hear different perspectives on the same situations. You have to be patient enough for God’s blessings to manifest in your life,” he said.
Ashamu also highlighted what he described as his track record of empowerment and youth development across Oyo Federal Constituency, stating that he has facilitated over 250 employment opportunities for constituents.
He further disclosed that the Gedu-Oroki-Ashipa road project was championed through his efforts alongside some young people within his political fold.
According to him, his commitment to leadership development remains evident in the number of young people he has mentored and empowered to become leaders in their respective communities.
“We have been developing young people who are now leaders in their various communities. Nobody here can deny the fact that they have not been empowered or groomed for leadership,” he stated.
Speaking on the political future of Oyo Federal Constituency, Ashamu maintained that residents deserve more impactful representation, stressing that the constituency requires leadership that prioritizes the welfare of the people.
“Oyo Federal Constituency deserves better. We need representation that truly protects the people’s interests, gives them hope, confidence, and clear direction for the future. We must stop deceiving ourselves.
The constituency deserves better, and I am ready to provide that leadership. This is an opportunity to demonstrate the skill and ability God has given me,” he said.
Ashamu declared that the 2027 election presents an opportunity for political change, adding that if given the opportunity he will do better.
“This is God’s time, and I am ready to change the narrative in Oyo Federal Constituency,” he added.
He commended the large turnout of supporters at the gathering, describing it as impressive and encouraging.
Ashamu also urged his supporters to remain committed, truthful, and steadfast, expressing confidence that victory awaits his political movement in 2027.

He charged party loyalists to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts by taking the campaign message to communities, polling units, wards, and local governments across the constituency.
