Oyo State Government through the Oyo State Rule of Law Enforcement Authority (OYRLEA), alongside security operatives, on Thursday carried out a targeted enforcement operation against illegal grazing at Marvellous Estate, Akobo Ojurin, Ibadan.

The enforcement team discovered cattle being reared within the residential community. Despite claims that the animals were confined, officers found clear evidence of open grazing in violation of existing state regulations. Eleven (11) cows were impounded at the first location.
While exiting the estate, the team intercepted another group openly grazing cattle on public paths. Two (2) additional cows were seized, bringing the total impounded animals to thirteen (13).
The owners of the impounded cattle were directed to report to OYRLEA within seven (7) days to pay the statutory fines into the government’s coffers and be guided on further necessary steps permitted by the State Government.
Speaking on the operation, the Chairperson of OYRLEA, Hon. Justice Aderonke Adekemi Aderemi (Rtd.), reiterated the Authority’s zero tolerance for infractions that threaten public safety and community order.
