Youths for New Nigeria (YNN), Oyo State chapter has joined thousand of people in mourning the death of former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi.
YNN described the death of Senator Ajimobi as a very sad news, though we have been apprehensive of his health status for about a week. He was reputed to be the best and most productive governor Oyo State has had. In this assessment, we concur as do so many others. The numerous infrastructural and public works projects he initiated literally changed the face of Oyo for the better and the modern era.
The pain we feel at his passing is beyond what words can describe. This good and excellent man has left us but his energy, activism and commitment to Nigeria and its people shall always be with us.
Some of us joined family and friends to pray for his quick recovery; for God to deliver him from the grip of Covid 19.
“Gov Ajimobi would be remembered for breaking jinx of second term in Oyo State and for other daring projects. Without mincing words, we have lost another illustrious son of Ibadan, a great politician and a legacy and administrator. We would have loved to have him with us for more years but God loves him more and knows better”.
Our condolence to the Wife of the late former Governor, Chief Mrs Florence Ajimobi At his core, Senator Ajimobi was a family man. He was a loving husband and father. Our heart grieves for his wife, Florence, and their children. May they find the comfort that only Almighty God can provide at this moment. members of the family, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, the Olubadan of Ibadan, leaders and members of the All Progress Congress in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
“Also, our people should be more prayerful, careful and take every precaution as directed by Covid 19 task force. Together, we shall overcome this pandemic”.
The late Sen Abiola Ajimobi is great lost to the people of Oyo State and entire Nigeria, Ajimobi is a legacy,role model,mentor,and it is a great lost to lose him. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Ajimobi can never forget in the history book of Oyo State and Nigeria entirely
Our prayer is that the Munificent God shower mercy upon him, reward his good deeds, and admit him to Aljanna Firdaus.
