The lawmaker representing Ogo Oluwa/Surulere State Constituency, Hon. Simon Adegbola Oyeleke, on Tuesday, dumped All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Clerk of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Yetunde Awe, read Oyeleke’s letter of defection from APC to PDP.
Hon. Oyeleke cited internal crisis among others that drove him out of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Sanjo Adedoyin received the defector on behalf of PDP lawmakers and handed over party’s flag to him.
The Minority Leader of the House, Right Hon. Asimiyu Alarape while reacting to the defection said the APC would not miss the defected parliamentarian.
”What is happening now is not new. Politics is about conflict management. If someone is disgruntled, it does not concern us. We wish him the best but we will not miss him. We never see him as one of us”.
