Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has restated commitment of his administration to resolve frequent traffic issues and reconstruction of Ibadan-Iwo-Osogbo road to expand economic activities and bring relief to residents in the axis.
Governor Makinde made the statement when he took his second term re-election bid to Lagelu Local Government Area of the state.
Makinde, gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) assured teeming supporters and party members that priority would be given to infrastructural projects in the local government under Omituntun 2.0.

The areas where governor visited were for campaigns were Monatan, Lalupon, Oyedeji Market, Akobo Ojurin, Olorunda.
Governor Makinde while speaking at different points leveraged on his administration giant stride in completing Akobo Ojurin road dualisation and General Gas flyover.

He met with Chiefs and Baales from Lagelu LGA at Ejioku. Makinde assured them his administration would continue to prioritize allocation of traditional institutions in the state.
As an inclusive campaign, the governor met with religious leaders as well. Oloye Kazeem Anifowose led traditional worshipers to a meeting with governor in Ejioku while governor met with leaders of Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) at St Luke’s Anglican Church, Lalupon and League of Imams at Lalupon under the leadership of Chief Imam, Sheikh Taliatu Masika.
