The Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, Prof. Kayode Adebowale on Friday along with the Dean of Students, Prof. Abiona inspected both undergraduate and postgraduate halls of residence on campus.

The need for inspection became necessary following the suspension of 8 Months strike by Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and resumption of academic activities by Senate of the University at its meeting held on Monday, October 17, 2022 which will enable the University to continue with 2021/2022 Academic Session.

The inspection team went round the Halls to identify those things that needed to be put in place to make the Halls habitable and comfortable after being locked up in the last seven months.

It would be recalled that the students were directed to vacate the Halls on 17 March, 2022 following an extension of the national strike action embarked upon by ASUU.

FRESHPAGE.COM.NG reports that the Registrar, Mrs. Olubunmi Faluyi on behalf of the Council and Senate had earlier wished students journey mercies back to campus.
