The Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan Professor Kayode Adebowale FAS, mni, received new executive members of the Nigerian Medical Association, Oyo State Branch in his office today.

The team which was led by the Chairman, Dr Lasisi Adewale, was received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Ezekiel Ayoola on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.

Dr Adewale spoke on the need to improve the welfare of NMA members in the University system.
He stressed the need to ensure a working condition that will retain the existing medical staff as well as attract others into the system thereby reducing to the barest minimum, the menace of brain drain.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor promised that all the requests made by the visiting team will receive the adequate attention of the University Management.

Other members of the visiting team included Dr Bademosi Adedotun, Secretary; Dr Ayotunde Fasunla, Ex-officio ; Dr Happy Adedapo ,Vice Chairman; Dr Gbemisola Daramola, Chairman,WADUHS ; Dr Adeleye Adedokun, Secretary, WADUHS; Dr Oluwabukola Akande, Registrar; Dr David Aderinto, Consultant. Others were Dr Omowumi Femi-Akinlosotu, Dr Foluke Fasola, Dr. M.O Adetona and Dr. M.A Adedeji.
Present at the occasion were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Professor Aderonke Bayeroju and Deputy Registrar, Vice Chancellor’s Office, Mrs Morenike Afolabi.
