University of Ibadan has lost of its eminent scholars of repute, Prof. AbdulGaniy Olayinka Raji, Department of Agricultural And Environmental Engineering.
The former Director of Management Information System (MIS), died peacefully in his sleep on Friday, December 19th at his Ogbomoso residence.
Prof. Raji holds B.Sc, M.Sc from University of Ibadan and capped it with Ph.D from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He was a registered member of COREN.
The late scholar served as INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner for three states in the South West; Ekiti, Ogun and Osun.
He served University of Ibadan as Chairman, Information Communication Technology. His areas of specialization were;Crop Storage & Processing Engineering, General Mechanization, Systems Modeling and ICT.
According to his family, Janazah Prayers holds on Saturday December 20, at Ogbomoso Central Mosque, Oja’agbo at 11am and will later be buried at a Muslim cemetery in Ogbomoso.
