The delay and discomfort associated with obtaining transcripts by graduates remain a major challenge in the University of Ibadan and Management has, therefore, decided to tackle the problem with the urgency it deserves.
On 14th December, 2021, the Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the “Task Force on Students’ Transcripts” with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) as the Chairman.
According to management, the Tssk Force has commenced work immediately in a manner that reflects the urgency of the task, and the utmost importance that the Vice-Chancellor attributes to it.
The Task Force will ensure that students’ transcripts are deployed online so that requests, payments, and delivery of transcripts are fully automated.
Applicants for transcripts will be able to track the progress of their requests, print student copies online, and select the courier company that would handle their transcripts’ delivery.
“Right now, graduates from the last two sessions (2020/2021, 2018/2019) have their transcripts available online and will be able to access them once the portal is deployed very soon.
“The process of digitizing the examination results of the previous sessions has already commenced with the 2017/2018 session.
“As we pursue our vision of becoming a global first-rate University, easing the transcripts request and collection process is one of the major milestones that we must achieve and achieve quickly.
“We are fully committed to protecting the interest and progress of our graduates and wish to assure them that a lasting solution would soon become operational”.
