The article, indeed, was a brief but deep insight into Engr. Okanlawon’s life and legacy, which showcases his commitment to building a better world for all, as well, underscores why he remains an iconic figure in the hearts of many._

The article reads in full:

I feel deeply and truly honoured to pay tribute to an exceptional leader, a visionary to its core, someone who has dedicated his life to driving change and radiating impact, – Engr. (Dr.) Olusegun Okanlawon. As the founder of the Olusegun Okanlawon Foundation (OOF), he has positioned himself as an emblem of hope for countless individuals and families, more particularly in the Ibarapa region of Oyo State. He has got an incredible passion for the development of the young population of our dear country, a more deeper passion to raise our various communities through empowerment of diverse forms, and an inspiring and massive infrastructural transformations, – all which he has been consistent with for years. What strikes me most about Engr. Okanlawon is his unique blend of humility and impact. Of course, many activities similar to his is often and usually laced with optics, rather than the real work, – some persons prioritises personal success which overshadows communal responsibility, but he chose to be different, he stands tall as a very rare example of humility, selflessness and dedication.

Through the OOF, he has provided scholarships to less privileged students, supported small (and struggling) businesses, constructed boreholes in underserved communities, and used sports as a tool to engage and strengthen the young people. It is unarguably so that these initiatives have touched countless lives, but his genuineness and personal involvement have made all the difference.

Yet, I have found Engr. Okanlawon’s dedication to the Ibarapa region particularly noteworthy, – he has relentlessly and tirelessly advocated for its development, addressed long-standing infrastructural challenges and keep working to build a society where no one is left behind. I found his leadership style very inspiring, motivating, and one that creates a ripple effect of fundamental change. Whether through his professional or philanthropic endeavours, he embodies the spirit of kindness and compassion, he treats every interaction with warmth and every opportunity as a chance to make a difference.
