President Bola Tinubu has called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the terror attack on an Army base in Sabon Gida, Damboa, Borno State, which claimed six soldiers.
In a statement today by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President extended condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers, describing their sacrifice as a cornerstone of the nation’s fight for security.
While commending the Armed Forces for their swift response, Tinubu lauded the military’s air component for its decisive retaliatory strikes, which neutralized numerous terrorists
In addition to ordering an investigation, Tinubu directed the military to escalate its efforts by taking the war to the camps of bandits and terrorists.

He particularly urged intensified operations in the Northwest, where criminal elements continue to terrorize villagers.
The President also appealed to Nigerians and the media to rally behind the military in its efforts to restore peace across the country.
