Thugs, allegedly working for the current lawmaker representing Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Abass Adigun, today attacked the campaign team of his main challenger, Hon. Adedapo Lam-Adesina today.
Chairman of Ibadan North East local government, Ibrahim Akintayo, was allegedly at the scene of the attack.
FRESHPAGE.COM.NG understands that last Saturday’s election in the federal constituency was inconclusive. Though keenly contested between the duo, the result of the election has yet to be declared as at the time of filing.

Lam-Adesina’s campaign team, it was learnt, had arrived Atipe area of Ibadan North East Local government to erect solar lights in the community when the thugs swooped on them.
“Having sighted the truck that brought the solar lights and poles to the area, the PDP thugs trooped out to stop them and in the process, the truck driver was hit with a bottle on his head amongst other atrocities that were carried out. This was done in the presence of the council chairman, Ibrahim Akintayo was at the scene,” said one of the injured persons.
