Barely three years after the Post Primary School Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Oyo State chapter had concluded recruitment of five thousand (5,000) teaching personnel, no fewer than 15 candidates who scaled through the cut off set by the agency are yet to get appointment letters whereas their colleagues are not only getting their monthly salaries but moving on the leader of teaching service commission in the state.
The affected candidates who could not hold it any longer have appealed to Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde to prevail on release of their appointment letters by TESCOM.
According to Daily Post, the affected candidates took the bold step through save our soul message made available to media platform.
FreshPage reports that the shortlisted candidates after the recruitment exercise were directed by the Chairman of TESCOM, Pastor Akin Alamu to resume duty on February 1st, 2021.

However, about fifteen candidates who were shortlisted are yet to be issued their appointment letters.
The affected candidates are now begging the state governor, Seyi Makinde to intervene on their behalf so that their appointment letters will be released by TESCOM.

The affected candidates are; Oladosu Afeez Babatunde, Oke Emmanuel Tunde, Okunade Felix Oluwasola, Oderinde Adewale Lanre, Ajulo Oluwayemi Tolulope, Ojedapo Revival Yemi, Adegoke Peace Gift, Oladokun Moses Adedotun, Okunola Olaotan Olawale and Adigun Paulina Aghumele.
Others are; Okoro Chindinma Adaeze, Okegbade Lydia Kehinde, Salawdeen Raimot Opeyemi, Okunrinola Folakemi Omotola and Amao Oluwaseun Paul
The candidates claimed that all efforts to secure their appointment letters were proven abortive.
“We sat for the CBT, were shortlisted, sat for the interviews and scaled through and their names were in batch A of the list of successful candidates.
They, however, said that they do not know why their appointment letters were missing. They begged the governor to intervene, adding that they have sent appeals to the Permanent Secretary and Chairman of TESCOM, the Secretary to the State Government and even to the governor but all to no avail.
“All efforts to secure the letter were abortive. We sent appeals to the PS TESCOM, to TESCOM chairman, to SSG even to the governor but all to no avail. We congratulate the governor for his victory at the polls for a second term tenure, we appeal to him to look into the matter again and get the candidates absorbed.
“We beg the governor to look into this. He is a father that listens, he should help us and write his name in gold in our hearts and eternally as our helper. We sat for the CBT, we were shortlisted, sat for the interviews, and we scaled through. Our names were even in batch A of the list, lists of successful applicants were released in three batches and our names were in the first batch. We don’t know why our letters are missing”.
