Team Senator Monsurat Sunmonu (SMS) has frowned at the attitude of those it described as mischief makers to desist from dragging the names of leaders into the mess they created for themselves.
The group also cautioned disgruntled elements for the side they take over the excesses of their leaders.
“Our attention has been drawn to story published by an online news outlet “Oyoinsight” claiming that there is feud between one local council chairman and our quintessential leader, Senator Monsurat Sunmonu. It is a pure lies from the pit of hell, there is no iota of truth to the story.
“Although, we are not surprised with the story as mediocrity will always try to drag excellence down to its level. The acclaimed chairman has never for once took Distinguished Sen. Monsurat as her godmother before but, when he was aspiring for House of Representatives, he sees Sunmonu as someone he could used as stepping stone to hijack ticket from his co-aspirants. But God and who?
“In view of the recent happenings, Sen. Monsurat who decamped from African Democratic Congress (ADC) to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2022 was happily received by the State and National body of the party but his followers in her hometown were not welcomed, instead they were maltreated and rendered useless by the so-called PDP leaders in Oyo Federal Constituency.
“There was a day our darling mother was bemoaned with the way acclaimed leaders were controlling the affairs of the party stated that, with this we are not ready to defeat APC in OFC but they all turned deaf ears. What I know is that intellectuals always come together to discuss the policies of government but here in Oyo Alaafin PDP, they always discuss sharing money formula.
“The story about being involved in anti-party is totally rubbish. Senator Sunmonu has made herself clear to the whole world that she is not vying for any position and as a leader, if you’re contesting for any position in Oyo federal constituency under PDP where she belongs, you must pay her courtesy visit and solicit for her support.

But the acclaimed PDP candidate for House of Reps who was expected to follow that step was seeing fighting and raising shoulders that he will not pay Sunmonu a visit as if he was coming with millions of votes not knowing he’s a jester with his leaders. You can as well ask about the candidate attitude towards Hon. Adeyemi Adebayo (D’Gov) within Oyo, whether Kamil didn’t look down on him too.
“Up till this moment, Hon. Kamil never informed him about his intention to vying for House of Reps and you were expecting someone like me to be running after him?
“Our leader, Sunmonu only called for her people’s inclusiveness in governance for us to speak for a common ground but PDP sees them as threat and wanted to threw them outside despite the fact that they have not win a single OYHA member since 2011.
“This is what prompt Sunmonu to appeal to them and not neglect them saying “Nineteen that refused to associate itself with One will never reach Twenty”. She appealed and cautioned them to see her followers as united family but acclaimed leaders who are expected to act decently towards her mentees were seen behaving dishonorably and immorally towards them.
“Who is Arowosaye Saheed that wanted to use our mother’s name to trend? An aspirant that our darling mother supported during primary that led to the feud between Mama and Kamil which Arosad himself confirmed to many people. Saheed? the one OYSIEC conducted his election which has never won election conducted by INEC wanted to drag our mother to his level?
“We won’t tolerate such lack of respect from someone whose identity his questionable. If you like, let your leader push you we will also drag you to our level”.
